8th National Hispanic Awards Launched in Calgary

Nominations for influential Hispanics open until July 31, 2014
Awards Ceremony to take place next November in Vancouver

Calgary, Alberta. July 11, 2014 – Last night in Calgary, nominations for the 8th annual edition of the “10 most influential Hispanic Canadians” national awards program were declared open until the end of this month. Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper has privately met with past winners at his office.

The announcement was made by Christian Greiffenstein, founder of Fiestaval Latin Festival (Fiestaval.ca) in Calgary. Fiestaval, founded in 1998 and now attracting over 60,000 people, will take place in downtown Calgary on July 19 and 20, 2014 with the support of His Worship Naheed Nenshi, Mayor of the City.

Nominations must be 250 words and include name, telephone and email address of both the nominee and the nominator, and be sent to Mauricio.Ospina@HispanicBusiness.ca      READ MORE...
